Police have identified Jamal Gibson as a suspect in the murder of Alton John Davis, who was shot while riding a bicycle in Fox Hill on Tuesday night.
Police said Gibson, also known as "Eggy", of Armbrister Street, was also wanted for questioning in reference to the September 27 murder of Ricardo Moss.
Moss was shot in the head as he sat outside a business at Grace Terrace, off Bernard Road.
As it relates to the latest murder, police said Davis, 38, of Kelly Lane, Fox Hill was riding along Adderley Street around 9 p.m. when two men emerged from the bushes on the eastern side of the street and shot him.
Davis was pronounced dead on the scene and the gunmen escaped on foot.
There have been several murders in the Fox Hill area in the last month and several residents have called for increased patrols as a result.
Asked whether the area was of concern to police, Chief Superintendent Paul Rolle said no.
"I don't consider it to be a crime-ridden area," Rolle said on the scene of the murder on Tuesday night.
"It has been pretty quiet. As with other areas, every now and then we have flare ups because of something else that is going on. What we seek to do is to get to the heart of what is the underlying issue that ultimately ends in death."
Davis' murder was the 98th for the year.
This time last year there were 89 murders, according to The Nassau Guardian's records.
