Cop testifies in murder trial

Three men accused of the murder of a church's groundskeeper placed themselves on the scene of the crime in their alleged statements to police, a Supreme Court jury heard yesterday.
Kenray Rigby, Cravon Lewis and Michael Beckford are on trial for the murder of Michael Knowles outside the Born Again Deliverance Church on January 19, 2006. They are also accused of robbing church members during a prayer meeting.
Sergeant Ambrose Knowles testified that he was present when investigating officer Christian Leary interviewed each suspect. He said all the statements were made voluntarily.
