Keith Rolle, Businessperson of the year, 2011.FREEPORT, Grand Bahama -- After a one year hiatus, the Grand Bahama Chamber of Commerce (GBCC) recently announced the Business Excellence Recognition Awards is back.These prestigious awards are designed to honour outstanding Grand Bahamian businesses and executives.
While times are still tough in Grand Bahama, many businesses are still providing excellent service to their customers. This is the time when many businesses shine, in the face of budgetary constraints, tough competition and decreasing sales. So, these businesses should be commended for their great work.
The GBCC represents much of the business community and feels it is important to let the community know and acknowledge that businesses are still striving to do their best.
Persons can nominate a business by using the entry form that is available at the Chamber's office on the Mall drive or on their website www.gbchamber.org.
Entries for nominations should include a summary of 100 words or less that
a) explains why this nominee merits being the winner of the award;
b) highlights specific business and management practices relevant to the award; and
c) illustrates the company's commitment to employees and the community.
