EBB's 2014 event
Empty Bowls Bahamas (EBB) continues to make a significant difference in the lives of many Bahamians through its many civic-minded and fundraising initiatives. Since its inception six years ago, it has become intricately involved in the community by supporting organizations that feed the hungry. It seeks to raise awareness of the importance of meeting the needs of the less fortunate within the community. As a not-for-profit organization, EBB has harnessed the spirit of volunteerism from all sectors of society through its annual artistic, culinary and performing arts event.
The 2014 EBB event, which was held on Sunday, February 23 at the Queen's College Auditorium, Village Road, featured the sale of Bahamian soups, which are served in colorful, beautifully-crafted, unique-shaped bowls.
The staff of Commonwealth Bank, one of EBB's main corporate sponsors, assisted in the collection and securing of the funds raised at the event.
Overall a very productive affair, the EBB 2014 event was enjoyed by all.
The next EBB event is scheduled to take place on Sunday, February 22, 2015 at the Queen's College Auditorium, Village Road, between 12 noon and 5:00 p.m. All are cordially invited to attend.
