HBO offers a month of thrills with its September Movie Lineup in The Caribbean

No other channel brings viewers more of the excitement and adrenaline rush of the biggest Hollywood hits than HBO, offering subscribers in the Caribbean a new film every Saturday during the month September at 22:00 hrs AST*.

Directed by Guillermo del Toro, PACIFIC RIM (Saturday, September 6, 22:00 hrs) takes place in 2020, when the Earth is at war with colossal monsters, known as Kaijus, that emerged from a portal in the Pacific Ocean. To combat these villains, humans create giant combative robots called Jaegers, which are controlled by humans – now it’s up to a team consisting of a veteran Jaeger pilot and a rookie to give one last attempt to defeat the Kaijus. This action and sci-fi film stars Charlie Hunnam, Idris Elba and Rinko Kikuchi.

After emergency line operator Jordan (Halle Berry) receives a frantic plea from an abducted teenager in THE CALL (Saturday, September 13, 22:00 hrs), she makes a desperate effort to save Casey (Abigal Breslin) from the serial killer who kidnapped her. This thrilling drama, directed by Brad Anderson, will have you at the edge of your seat as Jordan faces her past and races against the clock to find Casey.

Based on a true story that occurred in 2009, the Oscar® nominated film CAPTAIN PHILLIPS (Saturday, September 20, 22:00 hrs) stars Tom Hanks as Captain Richard Phillips, whose boat (the Maersk Alabama) gets hijacked in the waters of the Indian Ocean, 145 miles off the coast. Now, he’ll do whatever it takes to keep his crew alive and safe from the Somali pirates and their impulsive leader, Muse (Barkhad Abdi). Directed by Paul Greengrass.

In ESCAPE FROM PLANET EARTH (Saturday, September 27, 22:00 hrs), directed by Cal Brunker, astronaut Scorch Supernova, a master of daring rescues, finds himself caught in a trap set by the evil Shanker in a dangerous alien planet. Now it’s up to his shy brother Gary to save him, the planet and his wife Kira. Rob Corddry, Brendan Fraser, Sarah Jessica Parker, William Shatner and Jessica Alba lend their voices to this computer-animated comedy.
