THROUGH the support of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Solidarity programme, the International Swimming Association (FINA), the Bahamas Olympic Association (BOC) and the Bahamas Swimming Federation have introduced a new learn to swim and water safety education and instructor programme called "Let's Swim Bahamas".

The programme is the result of discussions between the BSF, Ministry of Sports and the Ministry of Education that were focused on developing a national learn to swim and water safety programme that could be easily implemented in Government and private schools and BSF Swim Clubs as part of the curriculum.
