NAI Bahamas Realty Commercial, a member of the world’s premier managed network of commercial real estate firms, announced today that it negotiated a lease of 21,000 sq. ft. at the Island Traders Building on behalf of The Ministry of Agriculture, Marine Resources and Local Governments.

The Island Traders Building is situated on East Bay Street near the Paradise Island Bridge. The Government physically took possession of the premises on 1 March, 2014, and, under the oversight of NAI Bahamas Realty Commercial, the offices have been completely renovated to accommodate the Ministry’s needs and requirements.
Rena Glinton, Permanent Secretary at The Ministry of Agriculture, Marine Resources and Local Governments, announced the move, effective immediately. “On behalf of my Minister, the Hon V Alfred Gray I wish to thank the Rt Hon. Prime Minister and Minister D. Shane Gibson along with his staff for facilitating our relocation to such pleasant surroundings”, said Glinton. “We are confident that the numerous advantages offered by this new space will enhance the Ministry’s operations now and well into the future.”
The following departments along with the Administration of the Ministry have relocated to the new premises: Bahamas Agriculture and Marine Science Institute (BAMSI), Agricultural Land Unit and Cooperatives. The telephone number is 397-7400.
