…TROPICAL DEPRESSION FORMS IN THE CENTRAL TROPICAL ATLANTIC…

Ay 5pm EDT, the Center of Tropical Depression 2 was located near LATITUDE 11.6°NORTH AND LONGITUDE 43.8° WEST OR ABOUT 1205 MILES EAST OF THE LESSER ANTILLES.

The Depression is moving toward the West near 16 mph, and this general motion is expected to continue for the next couple of days.

Maximum sustained winds are near 35 MILES PER HOUR (MPH) with higher gusts. Little change in strenght is forecast during the next 48 hours and the depression is expected to weaken to remnant low by Thursday.
