HBO Latin America will premiere the seventh and final season of the Emmy® nominated original drama series True Blood on Sunday, June 22nd in the Caribbean, simultaneously with the United States. Since its debut in 2008, True Blood has entertained audiences around the world, bringing fans a mix of romance, suspense, mystery and humor in a world where vampires and humans coexist. During the past six seasons, the fictional town of Bon Temps came to life through the story of waitress and part-faerie, Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin), and her love triangle with the seductive vampires Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer) and Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgård).

In season six, having (barely) survived an all-out purge by racist humans, the vampires of Bon Temps forged a shaky alliance with their human counterparts, where humans and vampires would pair off in monogamous partnerships to protect humans from rogue vamps infected with the deadly “Hep-V” virus, while providing personal nourishment to uninfected vampires.

The seventh and final season opens where the last season left off, commencing a battle between raging Hep-Vamps and their prey. This sets the stage for a season-long series of hair-raising events for Sookie, Bill, Eric, Jason, Sam, Alcide, Tara and their human/vampire allies and adversaries. Some of the series’ most beloved figures will meet cruel fates, while others will cheat death to forge happily-ever-after relationships, leaving fans surprised but satisfied.

True Blood returns for its ten-episode final season with key cast members Anna Paquin (Golden Globe® winner for this role) as Sookie, currently in a relationship with Alcide (Joe Manganiello); Stephen Moyer as Bill, who lost his walk-in-the-light aura; Alexander Skarsgård as Eric; Ryan Kwanten as Jason, under the wing of vampire Violet (Karolina Wydra); Rutina Wesley as Tara, still adjusting to life/death as a vampire; Sam Trammell as Sam, new mayor and partner to the pregnant Nicole (Jurnee Smollett-Bell); Nelsan Ellis as Lafayette, about to enter into an unexpected relationship; Carrie Preston as Arlene, widowed but prospering as Sam’s restaurant successor; Chris Bauer as Andy, soldiering on as sheriff with Holly (Lauren Bowles) by his side; Deborah Ann Woll as Jessica, obsessed with protecting the one faerie daughter of Andy she didn’t kill, Adilyn (Bailey Noble); and Kristin Bauer van Straten as Pam, heading to the end of the world to find her maker.

Based on the bestselling Sookie Stackhouse novels by Charlaine Harris, True Blood was created by Oscar® and Emmy® winner Alan Ball; executive produced by Ball, Gregg Fienberg, Brian Buckner and Angela Robinson; co-executive produced by Howard Deutch; with supervising producer Kate Barnow; producer David Auge; and co-producers Christina Jokanovich, Ronald Cosmo Vecchiarelli and Sunday Stevens.
