Leah Davis, Scotiabank’s Senior Manager of Marketing and Public Relations, read to students at Sandilands Primary School recently in an effort to heighten their HIV awareness.

Davis read “Little Feet, Big Steps”– an HIV themed storybook by Brit Sharon – to students gathered under a tamarind tree at the school’s Fox Hill campus.

Following the story, a nurse from the National HIV/AIDS Centre answered questions from the students related to HIV prevention and transmission.

Lady Camille Barnett, President, The Bahamas AIDS Foundation organized and attended the informational session.

The Sandilands Primary visit is one of a series of readings at schools throughout New Providence spearheaded by The Bahamas AIDS Foundation. Leah Davis volunteers with the Foundation.
