FORMER FIFA presidential candidate Mohamed Bin Hammam has been banned from football for life on being found guilty Saturday of attempted bribery by Fifa's ethics committee after a Bahamian whistleblower raised the alarm.

During the two-day hearing officials heard evidence from vice-president of the Bahamas Football Association Fred Lunn who was one of the first to be offered a cash-stuffed envelope containing $40,000 by a Caribbean Football Union (CFU) official at a meeting called in Trinidad on May 10 by Fifa presidential candidate Mohamed Bin Hammam. The meeting was called to encourage the 25 Caribbean union officials to vote for Mr Hammam's candidacy as Fifa president.

Antique car show at Arawak Cay New cars, old cars, loud cars and two-wheelers were all on show at the 25th annual Antique Car show and Steakout at Arawak Cay.

The show is collaboration between the Antique Auto Club of The Bahamas and the Kiwanis Club of Cable Beach. Funds from the show go towards two scholarships at CoB and to the Ranfurly Home for Children. Volunteers raise money selling lunch tickets and soliciting donations from the general public.
