Tourism is also hoping to stake a claim as a destination for sports tourism by
making investments in the industry and establishing partnerships that promote

Democratic Senators Barbara Boxer (CA) and Sheldon Whitehouse (RI) took
advantage of this week's tornados in the mid-west to boost their climate
change plans. More 'green' energy from wind and solar power is needed
if we are to avoid dangerous global warming and increasing extreme
weather events, they say. But their advocacy makes no sense, no matter
what you believe about the causes of climate change.
Studies
show that strong to intense tornados have actually decreased markedly
over the past fifty years, despite a warming climate. When the period
from 1954 to 2003 was analyzed in a 2008 paper published by the American

My last article was kind of a tongue in cheek piece about
what it takes to be a chef. Today we'll
take a look at the other side of the restaurant: the service side. At Flying Fish we have a set of rules to live
by; we call them the Cardinal Rules Of Service.
We have them posted in the kitchen and the front of house team is
expected to know them. I'm quite sure
there are quite a few of the rules on this list you will read and say "I hate
when that happens to me!" and we agree with you. That's why we try our best to live up to the
rules. It makes everyone's experience
better and makes the restaurant run smoother by default.
1. Acknowledge
guests with eye contact and a smile within 30 seconds. First impressions count!
2. Thank
the guests as they leave. Last impression!

Hospitality venues like the Yas Viceroy Abu Dhabi are far and few. When I
think on it further there is nothing comparable to it. The Yas Viceroy
Abu Dhabi is a Xanadu of surreal luxury, set within architecture that
takes you out of your everyday and reminds you to live. Earlier this
month, I had the pleasure of staying for two unforgettable nights during
my seven night stay in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
The Yas Viceroy is located on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, UAE. The United
Arab Emirates, a former British protectorate, now an independent Arab
country along the Arabian Gulf is made up of seven states (Emirates).
These states are famed for their wealth, and iconic architectural
projects, particularly Abu Dhabi's neighbor Dubai. The island is a short

EARTHCARE is taking a stand against
celebratory balloon releases, urging event organizers to find other
"earth-friendly" ways to celebrate events that do not pose a threat to
the country's fragile marine environment and birds.
Balloons are
very harmful when ingested by birds and marine life such as fish,
endangered sea turtles and marine mammals including whales and dolphins,
which eventually will develop digestive problems and die. EARTHCARE is
very concerned about balloon releases and condemns anyone who promotes
or allows balloons to be released whether it be one, or many, into the
