International Cultural Festival 2013 - Nassau, Bahamas:

Bahamas International Cultural Festival Logo Welcome to the 18th Annual International Cultural Festival. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Immigration (MOFAI) is holding the ever popular Cultural Festival - originally conceived to recognize United Nations Day - slated for 19-20 October, 2013 from 10am to 6pm at the Botanical Gardens, Nassau.

The Festival fosters friendly relations and understanding between Bahamians and the international resident community. This high quality organic experience that emerged from members of the community has become an international signature event that serves to demonstrate just how diverse and cosmopolitan The Bahamas has become.

The Festival also provides a global platform for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Immigration to encourage foreign countries to consider staging food and cultural weeks as well as host more trade missions to The Bahamas. Strategically, this makes The Bahamas a far more interesting and sophisticated place to live and visit by broadening and deepening the vacation experience and quality of life that's available here.

Since its re-instatement in 2009, the Festival has proved to be arguably the most popular Festival in The Bahamas. Click here to download this years ICF 2013 flyer.

Visit The Panama Booth:

Panama Booth at the Bahamas International Cultural Festival Logo Please visit our Booth at the International Cultural Festival to get a taste of Panama cuisine! Panama food is as unique as the Central American country's location, serving as a bridge between continents.

Panamanian cuisine is influenced by many cultures, including Spanish, American, Caribbean, Asian and native cultures. Because there was a strong US presence in the country in its early days, some food can seem familiar to Americans. Other dishes are more exotic.
Panama has a rich tradition in the culinary arts. Due to its location the country is home to a vast array of fresh and tasty fruits, herbs and vegetables as well as delicious seafood. Combine this with influences from the Native Indians, Europeans and other Latin American countries and you have some great food in Panama!
Different from other countries, the Tortillas in Panama are thicker and deep fried. Typical items are then placed on top of the tortilla to make a meal. It is very common to use eggs, cheese and beans.
The Panama Booth will be featuring a NEW RUM from Panama called ABUELO.
