The Power of One

Thursday 8th October 2015

The Power of OneWhen Bahamian artists get together we speak with The Power of One. As our contribution to the Hurricane Joaquin relief efforts, Bahamian Gospel and Secular artists have joined our voices in unison to assist those whose lives have been drastically affected.
As nation builders we recognize our responsibility to assist those who are faced with picking up the pieces in light of this tragedy. We also recognize the contribution that our families in San Salvador, Crooked Island, Rum Cay, Mayaguana, Acklins, and Long Island have made by supporting us in our careers. Now is the time to use our influence to give back.
On Thursday, October 8th, 2015, starting at 8:00am we will be staging a donation drive at Mario's Bowling Palace, which will be followed by the concert which starts at 5:00pm. The cost of admission is a donation of canned goods, clothing, can-openers, bottled water, toiletries, cleaning supplies or any items that can be used in the relief efforts as listed by organizations directly assisting those in need. We ask that each person attending contribute in this way. ALL proceeds will be distributed to charitable organizations who have done an exceptional job with the relief efforts so far. Goodwill agencies like the Kiwanis Club will be onsite to assist with receiving sorting and distribution of all donations received.
The Power of One will feature performances by Ronnie Butler, Nehemiah Hield, Landford, DMac, Christian Massive, Veronica Bishop, Lassie Doh Boys, Sammi Starr, Geno D., Funky D, Rik Carey, DJ Counsellor, MDeez, SosaMan... (Click here to read more)
