Small group practice—Max. 9 ppl

Providence Rehabilitation Centre's Yoga Project offers you a comprehensive approach to understanding the relationship between your body and mind through the practice of yoga. Lead by Dave Revington, The Yoga Project consists of 3 essential modules, completed over a 3 week period. Each week Dave will introduce a module each with its own primary focus. This focus is introduced at the beginning of the week and is explored throughout the week. You will complete 5 hours of instruction per week for a total of 15 hours of physical and mental practice.

Module 1 (Week 1) Anatomy:
Increase your awareness of the human body, its capabilities and its limits. You will be educated on how the muscles, joints, bones, ligaments and tendons all work together as you learn to execute each pose/asana.

Module 2 (Week 2) Energy:
Develop the ability to understand and control your energy/prana. Use your pranayama, the control of breathing, as a tool to simulate or relax your body and mind. Practice your new skills as you move in and out of your asanas and learn to utilize this new sense of awareness within your daily routines outside the studio.

Module 3 (Week 3) Meditation:
Use your new found knowledge of the human body and its energy source to bring together the body and mind as you learn to induce a state of conscious relaxation and self-realization.
