The Bahamas Chamber Of Commerce and Employers Confederation functions primarily through its Standing Committees which parallel the areas of responsibility of the Government Ministries. The Committees meet regularly to discuss problems and general matters of concern within their scope of reference. Recommendations are forwarded to the Government on a regular basis; likewise, when approached by the Government for private sector input, the Chamber's Board of Directors consults with the appropriate Chamber Committee(s).

As The Bahamas continues to keep pace with the many opportunities and challenges presented by globalization, trade liberalization, the need for improved education, and the varied concerns of crime and increasing energy costs, we in The Chamber through our various Standing Committees and Boards will continue to partner with the business community, Government and NGO’s as well as hold business and educational seminars on key issues of importance in order to continue to improve the economic, social and moral fabric of this great nation we call The Bahamas.
