Nassau, Bahamas - Cia Monet Fashions, an online shopping company run by Patricia Chatti held the successful Beauties @ Brunch on May 6th at Compass Point. The idyllic setting, beautiful models, and fabulous styles presented by Cia Monet were a hit all round! The event was well attended and under the patronage of Mrs. Sandra Dean Patterson of the Bahamas Crisis Center, which is celebrating 30 years of service to the Bahamian People. Part proceeds of the event went to support the Center

Local models took the runway wearing designer and accessory couture pieces from Cia Monet which include Herve Leger, Emilio Pucci, Gucci and more. Each fashion season: spring, summer-swimsuits, fall and winter, including casual, resort, career and social wear will be presented. Models were all wearing jewelry by Fusion (Judy Darville & Tepaporn Jin Schmid).

"We feel the suffrage movement is the perfect platform to bring awareness to women's rights in The Bahamas," said Patricia Chatti of Cia Monet. "I am so pleased to be helping the Crisis Center which helps so many Bahamians."

Dr Patterson of the Bahamas Crisis Center was quoted in saying that the assistance provided from the event will help to launch the center's upcoming activities."To me this is a wonderful opportunity and this is the first time the Crisis Center has partnered with an event such as this one. It's a beautiful environment, a great atmosphere, and I just think this is so different and unusual," said Dr Patterson. She hopes that Beauties @ Brunch will be the beginning of other partnerships with Bahamian business persons and fashion designers in order to assist the Center.

This is the first in a four part series, which will culminates each fashion season, and launch the latest couture designers, coupled with honouring some of the greatest Bahamian women responsible for women’s rights, equality and other defining struggles of what the Suffrage Movement advocates.

The proud sponsors of Cia Monet's Beauties @ Brunch Series , Celebrating 50 Years of The Suffrage Movement of Women & The Bahamas Crisis Center's 30th Anniversary are Treisa Events, Rainbow Weddings and Florists, Bristol Wines and Spirits, Black Opal, Compass Point, 242Events ,VC Photography, Maximum Bass, TheBahamasWeekly.com, Sonic Express, Rapunzel, Antonius Roberts Gallery, Digital Cafe, Viva La Belle, Nail Taxi, The Consulting Inc, and Make em Listen.

About The FNM

The Free National Movement was born out of a struggle for greater accountability and transparency. The party cut its teeth in the fight to deliver our country from political corruption and victimisation, and it reached maturity as a government whose tenure and accomplishments have become the standard against which all future governments of The Bahamas will be judged.

Over 40 years ago, the founders of the FNM had the wisdom and foresight to recognise the absence of truly democratic principals within the leadership of the then-governing party. They separated themselves and adopted “FREE” as their motto. These ‘Dissident Eight’ held themselves to the highest standard, one fuelled by a love of their country and a commitment to serve all Bahamians fairly and equitably. Today, the nation — and the world — continue to hold the FNM in the highest regard. The Free National Movement is proud of this mantle. FNM Leaders have been great figures in Bahamian history, men and women of character, honour, and ethics who abhor corruption and detest victimisation.

The FNM is the party of honesty and integrity, vision and commitment, fairness and inclusion. We deliver.
