Since its inception in 2006, the Hymn Festival has received widespread support from Anglicans and the wider community, and has become one of the signature events of The Diocese. A number of CDs have been produced, featuring favourite hymns and anthems of the Church. The objective of the Chorale is to bring together persons who are interested in keeping alive the singing of the traditional hymns of the Church, while at the same time singing more contemporary music, all to the glory of God.

Directed by Rosemary C. Hanna, the 50-member Chorale is made up of members from New Providence Anglican churches as well as the wider Christian community. Ms. Hanna is assisted by accompanist and vocal clinician, Dexter Fernander. The Chorale will be accompanied by veteran Organist, Edward Cox, Dexter Fernander on the piano and Rowena Munroe on flute.

The Chorale will be singing many familiar hymns such as, ?Lift High the Cross?, ?Be Thou My vision?, ?O Worship The King?, ?Christ Is Made The Sure Foundation?, ?O Jesus, I Have Promised?, ?God of Our Fathers?, ?I Vow to Thee My Country?, as well as ?Steal Away? and more. One of the aspects of the Hymn Festival that many patrons look forward to every year is their active involvement in singing the beautiful hymns.

It is anticipated that a large crowd will be in attendance. The public is invited to come along and be prepared to join in singing praises to God. The event is free. An offering will be taken.
