A mini-film festival offshoot of the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival (FLIFF). Focused mainly on shorts, but also features. Special emphasis on films shot in The Bahamas, but films from around the world are also welcomed.

Hosted at the Canal House, Pelican Bay Hotel, ?FLIFF On Location: Grand Bahama Island will feature international and local films, outdoor screenings of Sammy 2: Escape from Paradise at Taino Beach and Port Lucaya Marketplace; presentation of a Career Achievement Award to Giancarlo Esposito, a filmmakers' workshop, location scouting for international filmmakers, and an awards presentation and wrap party at the Grand Lucayan Resort.

?We look forward to building on last year?s inaugural, and the visiting filmmakers are anxious for their upcoming visit to Grand Bahama Island,? said Mr. Gregory von Hausch, CEO, FLIFF.

"The purpose of the festival is to feature Grand Bahama Island as a film location of choice, with emphasis on proximity (to the United States), year-round good weather and an available crew base, and (to) build a strong international relationship with a tradition partner located nearby," said Craig Woods, Bahamas Film Commissioner.
