High Rockʼs annual homecoming festival celebrating the bounties of the sea... this annual event attracts supporters each year, to cheer on their pick and see who will dominate the waters in the Poker Power Boat Race. Contestants travel from throughout The Bahamas to vie for the title of fastest boat in the country and bragging rights. In addition to the excitement on the waters, the three days of festivities also include a fishing tournament, fun contests… onion peeling, fish cleaning, potato peeling, mango eating, conch hooking, conch cracking, conch eating. Also plating of the August pole, which is held at the High Rock, East End, Grand Bahama Island Primary School. Come and enjoy the best in Bahamian entertainment; local dishes and other cultural activities that can be enjoyed by the entire family.
